Vehicle and Traffic Violations

The Genesee County District Attorney’s Office prosecutes Vehicle and Traffic Law infractions and misdemeanors in the Batavia City Court.  This office does not prosecute Vehicle and Traffic related infractions and misdemeanors (except 1192-1, 1192-2, 1192-2aa, 1192-3, 1192-4, 1192-4a) (non-criminal offenses) in any of the Town or Village Courts.  Therefore, no mail, email, faxes, telephone calls, or other forms of communication should be directed to this office regarding such matters and this office will not respond to such communications, convey such communications to whomever prosecutes such charges nor discuss such matters with anyone.  

Traffic prosecution in all Genesee County Courts, except Batavia City Court and Batavia Town Court, is handled by Genesee County Traffic Prosecutors.  They may be reached via email at geneseetrafficprosecutors@gmail.com.  Written correspondence may be sent to the Court where the ticket is pending, to the attention of the Traffic Prosecutor.  Traffic Prosecutors are not available by phone.  Email or hard mail communication must include copies of all tickets issued and supporting deposition(s), if any.
