Have you served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and was honorably discharged or are you still serving honorably? The appropriate service era and branch of services are below makes you eligible to join the American Legion:

  • World War II
  • Korea
  • Vietnam
  • Lebanon/Grenada
  • Panama
  • Gulf War
  • Global War on Terror
  • Other Conflicts

Branch

  • U.S. Army
  • U.S. Marines
  • U.S. Navy
  • U.S. Air Force
  • U.S. Coast Guard
  • Merchant Marines (WWII only)
