In honor of Veterans Day, Genesee County offices will be closed on 11/11/24. We salute and express our deep gratitude to all veterans who have served our country.
Students attending out-of-county community colleges must submit a Certificate of Residence application within 30 days from the start of the semester or class. Late applications will not be accepted.
Location: Genesee County Treasurer's Office, 15 Main St, Batavia, NY
Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
Mail-in: Notarize the application and include proof of residency.
In-Person: Bring your driver's license; notaries will be available. Do not sign the form before arriving.
Once issued, the Certificate of Residence is valid for one year. It is the student's responsibility to provide it to their college.
