What is Long-Term Care?

Long-term care refers to medical and non-medical services that assist disabled children, adults, and the elderly who cannot manage daily activities independently. This care includes help with dressing, eating, bathing, and care for serious illnesses like Alzheimer’s. It also supports recovery and maintaining independence.

  • Behavioral Health: Those with mental health issues or developmental disabilities often need ongoing services.

  • Acute Illness or Injury: People recovering from strokes or accidents may need temporary assistance.

  • Aging: Seniors may need help to maintain their independence.
