Drop Box Instructions

Drop Box Locations:

  • Batavia: On Court Street at the Genesee County DMV Office.

  • Le Roy: Outside the Town Hall on Main St.

 

Forms Available:

MV-82: Vehicle Registration/Title Application(PDF, 154KB)

MV-44: License Renewal Application(PDF, 356KB)

MV-619: Eye Test Report(PDF, 84KB)

Instructions:

  • Registration Renewal: If you received a renewal form from Albany, complete, sign, and return it by mail or drop it off with a check payable to Genesee County Clerk. Transactions are processed daily and mailed back to you.

  • License Renewal: You need an eye exam, your eye doctor can complete a MV-619, or visit a local supermarket linked with the NYS Vision Registry. Submit the renewal form, a check, and a copy of your driver’s license via drop box. If you didn’t receive a form, print and use MV-44.

  • Plate Surrender: Drop off with $1.00 cash (no checks) in the drop box. A receipt (FS-6T) will be mailed to you. Transactions are processed daily.

Checklist for Drop Box:

  1. Copy of driver’s license

  2. Completed and signed forms (MV-82, MV-44, MV-619)

  3. Payment (check payable to: Genesee County Clerk)

  4. Phone number included on check
