Certificate of Residence
Important Information on Certificates of Residence:
Students attending out-of-county community colleges must submit a Certificate of Residence application within 30 days from the start of the semester or class. Late applications will not be accepted.
Where to Apply:
Location: Genesee County Treasurer's Office, 15 Main St, Batavia, NY
Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Summer Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
(Memorial Day - Labor Day)
Notarization Requirements:
This form does not have to be notarized, and students are not required to provide a social security number or social security card to receive the certificate of residence. Students must submit the application below and provide proof of residency.
Validity:
Once issued, the Certificate of Residence is valid for one year. It is the student's responsibility to provide it to their college.
